SteelFab will host a series of Product Presentation Seminars(PPS) on the sidelines of the exhibition. These PPS will be brief 30 minute presentations on topics/segments concerning the steel fabrication industry & will serve more as an informal discussion board to share views on the industries needs & preferences. The format will consist of a 30 minute presentation followed by a 10 minute discussion.

Product presentation seminars saw good participation at SteelFab 2010. Some of the seminars covered software that can help offline programming and simulate welding parameters and new family of robots and their applications in the automotive and construction sectors; cutting edge gas, which is being promoted as a replacement to acetylene for all cutting, brazing and heating applications; productivity enhanced rollforming equipment and roll forming basics; vacuum coating system for cutting tools; and new techniques for beam/plate processing and their application in the heavy pressure vessels industry.

Among other presentations, software for BIM, future of steel engineering and fabrication, new techniques for beam/plate processing and turning/milling process were presented to industry representatives.
